Global Samaritan Returns Back From The Border Crisis

Volunteers say they saw children and mothers who have traveled for weeks through the desert with nothing but the clothes on their back.

A group of volunteers from Global Samaritan Resources in Abilene are back home after a trip to McAllen, TX.

Volunteers delivered hundreds of cots, blankets and other donated items to help children who have crossed the border. They assisted at local churches and detention centers. They saw children and mothers who have traveled for weeks through the desert with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Danny Sims, a Global Samaritan volunteer, remembers the happiness brought to a young child when she received a donation of a dress. He says regardless of the politics of this situation, these are humans in need.
