Greyhounds Race Out to Hot Start, Defeat Ira 52-45

The Greyhounds got out of the gates fast agaisnt the Bulldogs thanks in part to baskets by Gary Farquhar. One of them would get Throckmorton on the board first, and a short time later he would help stretch the lead to six.

Then Treys Leal found Levi Taylor in the post for another basket, and the Greyhounds would jump out to a 8-0 lead.

Ira would mount a comeback thanks to a few baskets by Logan and Lance Morris. The Bulldogs would trim the Throckmorton lead to one in the first quarter, but the Greyhounds would hold on for a 52-45 victory.

They'll take on Water Valley at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon for the regional title at Moody Coliseum.
