ITA Hampered By Rain; Cowboys Have Mixed Results

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Rain has wrecked havoc on the brackets at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Southwest Regional at Trinity University in San Antonio.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Rain has wrecked havoc on the brackets at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Southwest Regional at Trinity University in San Antonio.

All of HSU’s players have been eliminated in the A and B main draws in singles and A doubles. B doubles is behind but three Cowboy teams remain alive.

Erich Bein advanced to the third round of the A singles and was the furthest advancing Cowboy. Frankie Sanchez has advanced to the semfinals of the A consolation bracket and is the only Cowboy remaining.

In B flight singles all six Cowboys lost in the first round, but Andrew Eurek, Justin Fry, Jordan Subia and Jason Ligon are all alive in the consolation bracket.

B Doubles action is moving to New Braunfels and will try to get back on track late this evening and the tournament will conclude on Sunday.
