Klapheke was charged with three counts of injury to a child after her 22-month-old daughter died from severe neglect in 2012, and the other two children required medical treatment for malnutrition and dehydration.
During the status conference, the judge made certain all parties involved in the case, including attorneys, were on schedule to be fully prepared for the trial.
All parties acknowledged they were ready for the trial scheduled to begin on January 27.
The trial is expected to last about two weeks.
