Two weeks ago Keenum made his first NFL start in place of Matt Schaub who was out with an ankle injury. In that game Keenum threw for 271 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions, but the Texans fell 17-16 to the undefeated Chiefs.
After the game head coach Gary Kubiak said he was pleased with Keenum's performance, but Schaub was still the team's starting quarterback.
Then after a bye week, Kubiak announced it would be Keenum making the start on Sunday night against Indianapolis.
"Matt's health is fine. It's a decision based on what I saw take place last week with Case," said Kubiak.
