Isolated storms remain in the forecast through Saturday....
A weak cold front was draped along a line from Big Spring to Abilene to Breckenridge late Friday afternoon.  The front had caused a few isolated showers and thunderstorms.  As the front slowly moves to the south Friday night, and lingers in the area Saturday, isolated thunderstorms will stay in your Saturday forecast, mainly across the southern Big Country.  High temperatures this weekend will be near 97 both Saturday and Sunday.  Looking ahead to next week, a shift in the weather pattern will keep the high pressure ridge anchored a little farther west, meaning the upper level wind flow shifts to the north.  That will put the Big Country in a position to possibly see night time thunderstorms starting about Wednesday, storms that develop in the Texas Panhandle and move into our area, generally at night.  Also, another cold front is indicated on Wednesday, dropping temperatures from the upper 90's to the lower 90's for the Thursday and Friday time period.  There will be a slight chance for rain on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the upcoming week.
