A compact but vigorous area of low pressure was responsible Monday morning for delivering between 2 and 6 inches of rain over Coleman and Runnels counties. The heaviest rain fell on the north side of Coleman and across western Coleman County. Abilene measured on a Trace of rain on Monday. But the chance for rain continues Monday night into Tuesday, as the low pressure area lingers in the region for the next 24 hours. Where storms train over the same area, heavy amounts could once again occur. The rain should be over by Wednesday as we return to dry weather for the rest of the week. Temperatures near 93 on Tuesday, 95 Wednesday and 97 on Thursday through Sunday.
