This will be an interesting week of weather in the Big Country. Windy and very warm weather is in store through Wednesday with Tuesday being the hottest day with highs in the upper 90's. High temperatures will cool down a little, back into the middle 80's, by week's end. Features coming together to give the Big Country a chance for storms four days in a row - Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. One feature is the dry line which will remain along the Texas and New Mexico border most of the week. Also, an upper level low is forecast to camp out over the southwestern U.S. late this week and into the weekend. Those sources of lift will have plenty of moisture to work with to bring rain to a large portion of West Texas. Some amounts may be measured in inches, especially from the Panhandle to the Permian Basin.
