KRBC PM Forecast: Wednesday, February 5, 2014

Snow likely through the noon hour Thursday, continued bitterly cold ....
An upper level low will track from the El Paso area toward the Big Country Wednesday night, bringing a very good chance for snow.  Accumulations are estimated to range between 1 and 2 inches... lighter amounts in the Brownwood area, possibly heavier amounts in the Snyder area.  Due to the snow potential, and potential of low visibility and poor travel conditions, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for  the majority of the KRBC viewing area (except Coke, Runnels, Coleman, Brown, Mills and Comanche counties) from midnight Wednesday night to noon Thursday.  After the snow, the next chance for precipitation will be Monday and Tuesday of next week, especially Tuesday as it looks now.  Temperatures remain 30 to 40 degrees colder than February normals.  Low Wednesday night near 14, our high Thursday near 22, near 15 Thursday night, and finally above freezing on Friday, near 38.  Expect upper 50's Saturday but our next front Saturday night will drop temperatures again, with highs in the 40's Sunday.
