Stuck with above normal heat until early next week when changes bring cooler temps and hopefully rain.
An interesting twist to the weather on Wednesday evening were thunderstorms moving out of northeast Texas to the southwest, toward DFW. The storms were spreading clouds over the eastern Big Country. Storms had also formed around Wichita Falls, moving southwest, with a chance for those to enter the northern Big Country late tonight. Aside from that, skies partly cloudy at times on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Mostly sunny conditions should be expected Thursday with highs in the upper 90's. Daily highs around 100 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday then falling to 95 on Monday. We should begin to see an increase in clouds on Monday in advance of our next system, which is a cold front dropping out of Oklahoma into Texas. With the front in the area, highs are expected to be around 90 next Tuesday and Wednesday, perhaps cooler, with showers and storms making their way back into the forecast.
