The western Big Country will be in prime location for the lowest humidity, strongest wind and highest wildfire danger on Thursday, possibly Friday. Stay alert and instantly report any smoke you may see on the horizon. The good news is temperatures will be warmer, around 70 or just above, Thursday and into the middle 70's to near 80 Friday. A strong cold front will drop temperatures back into the 50's for Saturday and the 40's for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. A slight chance for showers begins Sunday, continues Monday but it appears the western Big Country's best chance for rain comes Tuesday. Also interesting to note that on Tuesday, temperatures in the upper levels are projected to be cold enough to support snow or other freezing precipitation across the western Big Country. One of the computer models hints the white stuff is possible but I'm not too anxious yet, prefer to let new data come in the next couple of days and see how our cold and moisture align themselves for early next week.
