Warm, Breezy, and Muggy
Despite more cloud cover moving in from the west, today still looks dry. Currently temperatures are in the upper 60’s with a moderate muggy feel. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 80’s with breezy winds and partly cloudy skies, thicker cloud cover west. Winds will gust up to 30 miles per hour this afternoon before relaxing just a tad overnight. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with scattered storm chances west of Abilene. By Friday afternoon our rain chances will increase rather quickly with scattered storms likely throughout the Big Country. Highs will be in the low to mid 80’s for the later half of the workweek. The holiday weekend looks rather unsettled with ongoing chances for on and off again showers and storms. The activity will favor our northern counties, and not all of us will get wet. An area of low pressure currently over California will move in from the west coast and slowly meander into the Big Country over the weekend giving us several chances for rain over the weekend before exiting on Tuesday.
