McMurry Baseball releases 2014 schedule and ticket information

ABILENE, Texas – A full Heartland Conference schedule and a premier NCAA Division II non-conference slate that includes Angelo State University, Colorado Christian University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University and West Texas A&M University and a game at Division I Abilene Christian University highlight the 2014 McMurry University baseball schedule.

ABILENE, Texas – A full Heartland Conference schedule and a premier NCAA Division II non-conference slate that includes Angelo State University, Colorado Christian University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University and West Texas A&M University and a game at Division I Abilene Christian University highlight the 2014 McMurry University baseball schedule.

"I'm really excited about our schedule and it's going to be fun for our fans," McM head baseball coach John Byington said. "It's a strong home schedule and we welcome some quality opponents to the friendly confines of Walt Driggers Field. It's going to be challenging, but it's something we welcome."

The War Hawks open their season Feb. 1 with a double-header at Walt Driggers Field against Lone Star Conference member Angelo State. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. The two teams play a doubleheader the following day, but at ASU.

McM welcomes Colorado Christian of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Feb. 8 and West Texas A&M of the Lone Star comes to town Feb. 14.

McM begins its Heartland Conference portion of its schedule Feb. 21 when it welcomes Newman University.
McM travels to Durant, Okla. March 16 for a single game at Great American Conference member Southeastern Oklahoma State. SEOS makes a return trip to Abilene March 18.

On April 21 the War Hawks take on crosstown rival Abilene Christian.

Season and single-game tickets are available at www.mcmurrysports.com or at the ticket office. Season tickets are $50 and single tickets for adults are $5, while seniors and students are $3. McM students need get in free with their student identification card.
