McMurry Women's Golf in 5th After Day One of Lions Invitational

POTTSBORO, Texas – After Day 1 of the Texoma Chevy Dealers Lions Invitational, the McMurry University women’s golf team finds itself tied for fifth place out of 14 teams, shooting a team aggregate of 339 for the first 18 holes. The event is hostd by Texas A&M University-Commerce.

POTTSBORO, Texas – After Day 1 of the Texoma Chevy Dealers Lions Invitational, the McMurry University women’s golf team finds itself tied for fifth place out of 14 teams, shooting a team aggregate of 339 for the first 18 holes. The event is hostd by Texas A&M University-Commerce.

The tourney concludes on Tuesday with another 18 holes at the par-72, 5,986-yard Tanglewood Resort Golf Course.

The War Hawks top round was turned in by freshman Arabella Cruz. Cruz scored a 38 on her out nine and 43 coming in, tying her for eighth place.

Senior teammate Makenzie Stone and sophomore Randi Hanfeld both carded rounds of 85 to tie them for 22nd place.

Junior Leah Morgan’s round of 88 put her in a tie for 40th place. Cameron Wallace is in 68th place (104) after Day 1.
