Applications will be available for pick up at The Salvation Army, Family Store on 1726 Butternut. Applications are due by August 1st. Assistance with shoes is for school age children, headstart to 5th grade. Children will receive a new pair of shoes from Payless Shoe Store to have for the new school year. A copy of the child's report card must be submitted with the application.

Friday will also be the first day of the Summer Fan Drive. The Salvation Army will then begin accepting donations of new box fans and will be giving them out to families with small children (under 5), senior citizens and those who are disabled.

Those needing fans must bring an identification card, social security card and proof of financial hardship and come on Mon, Wed or Thurs between 9:00am-11:00am to receive a fan.
