The new terminal is called the Eskota Road Rail Terminal.
USA Rail Terminals is opening a new rail road terminal about 5 miles east of Sweetwater. The new terminal is called the Eskota Road Rail Terminal and phase one of the ten million dollar project is expected to be completed in the next eight to ten months.
Phase one will include five miles of new track and there will be additions in later phases.
Experts say that Sweetwater is a great place for this new terminal because it is one of the few places in the country where two class one rail roads parallel so close.
The future terminal will be built between the BNSF and Union Pacific lines.
