New Stephens County K-9

Stephens County sheriff's office has welcomed a new addition to their force.
A three year old German Shepard by the name of "Blitz" has just started his third week in Stephens County and the sheriff's office couldn't be happier.

Blitz has been trained to detect various narcotics and has already located narcotics during one vehicle search leading to an arrest.

"The dog is very, very talented and has very good work ethics. Anytime that we can take a person off the street that has been dealing the drugs, transporting the drugs or selling the drugs is going to make the people safer," said Stephens County sheriff Dan Young.

Blitz is currently working along side the sheriff's office canine handler Johnny Freeman and is set up for a very promising future.
