Online Memorial Honors Hailey Dunn

An online memorial gathered hundreds of comments, pictures and prayers for Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn. A Facebook page dedicated to Hailey was opened to the public to leave their thoughts for her. This allowed locals and those from around the country to pay their respects in an unique way.
Hundreds of people from all over the country logged onto Facebook to remember one 13-year-old girl.

Messages stating, "We will always remember" and "God bell you Hailey" were left on a memorial page that served as an online memorial just a little over a week after it was announced that her Hailey Dunn's body had been found.

Some left songs in honor of Hailey, others left quotes, bible scripture and prayers.

"Dear Lord, we come to you with shattered hearts for your new angel, Hailey Darlene Dunn. Tho we know not why she was taken so soon, we thank you for the time you loaned everyone her smile, her laughter, to brighten the world around her. Please wrap your loving arms of comfort around her family and friends. And reach your hand of justice out to whomever took her from this earth. We place it in your hands and know you will show us the way. Amen," said one post.

Some messages spoke directly to Hailey, expressing their thoughts and emotions as they watched her story develop.

"To the young lady that stole my heart... I will never forget you. May you be in the arms of God... Safe... With the other angels," stated one comment.

"For two years not only i but hundreds of others followed the stories, dreamed of you being found safe. Then everyone's worst nightmare came true. More tears. May you now rest in peace, and god comfort all who loved you. You are missed, and will never be forgotten," said another post.

And it served as an opportunity for those who never met her, but were touched by her story, to speak directly to her.

"Hailey, i never had the fortune to meet you in person. The old saying to know her is to love her doesn't hold a candle to how so many feel for you," said one woman. "Just learning about the young lady you were from loved ones and friends of yours has brought so many to love you."

In a few hours, there were hundreds of posts, pictures and songs. Showing that one teenager from Colorado City had a huge impact on everyone.
