Push American Arrives in Abilene

Cyclists arrive in Abilene on day 30 of their 3,900 miles trek across the country.
A group of 28 cyclists and 9 crew members peddled into Abilene this afternoon participating in Push America's Journey of Hope. This journey began 30 days ago in Long Beach California to Washington D.C. they are cycling to raise funds for people with disabilities.

Upon their arrival today they enjoyed lunch and Friendship Visits with Disability Resources Inc. and Adaptive Recreation Services-City of Abilene. This year they have 100 riders and have raised $500,000 according to Josh Stroud one of the cyclists.

This is the 12th year this event has taken place and collectively they have raised over $15 million on behalf of people with disabilities and continue to be on the cutting edge of the disability movement.
