hiring of Roger Geise, current assistant head football coach, as the new
head coach of
the Yellow Jacket football team.

his native state of Pennsylvania in 1970. He joined the Louisiana State
in 1974 as a graduate assistant and served in that position for three
years. He coached Dan Alexander and A.J. Duhe, who went on to have
lengthy careers in the NFL.

Geise entered the high school coaching ranks in Texas in 1977. He
coached at numerous schools and served as athletic director and head
football coach at Johnson City, Sabine and Lohn High Schools. He has
coached more than 25 years in the Texas high school ranks.

Pennsylvania where he was a four-year letterwinner. He also holds a
Master of Education degree
from LSU. In 2005, Geise was inducted into the Romanoski Chapter of the
Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. Roger and his wife, Sandra, live in
the Mercury area where they have a ranching operation.
