A man in Runnels County was arrested Monday. The man, who was under investigation for the sale of marijuana, was discovered to have a functioning bomb in his home.
A pipe bomb was found inside a Runnels County home Monday, leading to an arrest. According to the Runnels County Sheriff's Office, an investigation started when it was discovered a man was selling marijuana on the website Craigslist.
The Abilene Police Department bomb squad was called to help the Runnels County Sherriff's Office around four Monday afternoon.
APD says a funcionting pipe bomb was discovered inside the home in Rowena. The bomb squad rendered the device safe.
26-year-old David James Richardson was arrested for delivery of marijuana and possession of prohibited weapons.
The Runnels County Sheriff's Office says the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms will interview the suspect sometime this week.
