Silver Star Nation: Cowboys Prepare for Cold Weather

This week's cold weather could be a blessing in disguise for the Cowboys as they prepare to take on the Chicago Bears in the "Windy City" Monday night.

How nice of mother nature these past couple days to simulate the weather conditions the Cowboys will be playing the Chicago Bears in on Monday night just off of Lake Michigan. Now they're not expecting snow or sleet in Chicago, but it certainly going to be as cold as it's been in the Metroplex and as windy. Cowboy's head coach Jason Garrett understands they got a little bit of a break here.

Jason Garrett said "We want to practice here, outside. The weather has been good to us going up to these northern cities where the weather is bad. A couple of weeks ago against the Giants we had some bad weather around here. The days leading up to that we thought that was a positive just to get out there and practice in that. And it sounds like the weather's not going to be great here the next couple of days, so we're certainly going to embrace that opportunity as well."

Now the temperatures in Chicago on Monday night should be in the high teens around kickoff with the wind coming in off of Lake Michigan at about 15 miles an hour. The funny thing about all this, the Cowboys thought it was important to practice in the conditions, the Chicago Bears, who live in these conditions, well they practiced indoors earlier in the week
