The first key is for the Cowboys to put points on the board. So far this year the Cowboys are 5-4 in games where they score 27 points or more, and they will likely have to continue that trend to win at Washington.
Another key is for the Cowboys defense to come up with a few stops. In the last two games against the Bears and Packers, the defense only came up with seven stops out of twenty possessions. The Cowboys will need to get off the field if they're going to have success against the Redskins.
The last key is to not hand out early Christmas presents to the Redskins, and especially their defense. In the last game against Green Bay, the Cowboys turned the ball over on both of their final possessions. The Cowboys can't afford to give away the ball. Especially when the defense isn't generating much in terms of turnovers themselves.
The Cowboys and Redskins will kick-off at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in Washington.
