Stamford And Munday Picked To Lead Class A, Again

The Stamford Bulldogs and Munday Moguls are the defending Class A champions, and  they are both the highest ranked Big Country schools in Texas Football Magazine.
The Stamford Bulldogs and Munday Moguls are the defending Class A champions, and  they are both the highest ranked Big Country schools in Texas Football Magazine.

Starting with Class A Division I. Stamford is 1 of 3 ranked in the Top 10. The Bulldogs return just 5 starters on offense and 3 o n defense.

The key loss is All-State performer Hagen Hutchinson. Bo Wimberly is the likely replacement for "Hutch" at quarterback. James Washington is another key returner.

Stamford leads a group of 3 teams in the Dave Campbell's Texas Football Top 10 in Class A Division I. They are ranked 4th. Anson is 7th and Goldthwaite enters 2013 at number 10.

The Munday Moguls are the highest ranked Division II team in the Big Country.

The Moguls have a major rebuilding project on their hands. 9 starters on both sides of the ball are gone from the 2012 state championship team.

L.J. Collier is the top returner. Alfonzo Nunez takes over at quarterback for 3 year starter Dee Paul.

Tenaha and Wellington are the top 2 teams in the Texas Football preseason poll in Class A Div. II. Munday is 4th, and the Albany Lions enter the year at #5.
