Stamford Faces Tough Shiner Team For The Title

The Stamford Bulldogs have their hands full in this one. They take on Shiner for the crown on Thursday.
The Stamford Bulldogs are just 1 win from repeating as state champions for the 1st time since 1956.

The Bulldogs have their hands full in this one. They take on Shiner for the crown on Thursday.

The Comanches are a 3 loss team but beat top ranked Mart in the semi-finals.

Head coach Wayne Hutchinson says his team has a challenge it's hands.

"They're nothing real fancy. They just say 'we're going to run right at you, and what are you going to do about it.' It's going to be one of those games where we're just going to have to have the mindset where we're just a little bit tougher than they are, hit them in the mouth, and hit them often. See if we can't force some three and outs," said head coach Wayne Hutchinson.

"To beat Shiner we're going to have to do the little things right. It's another run team. We've played them four weeks in a row.  We're going to have to read our keys, do our responsibilities, and do the little things this week," said Ty McLemore.

The Bulldogs and the Comanches meet Thursday at 10 in Arlington.
