Taylor County Sheriff's Office Media Release:

On Sunday evening, July 27th, 2014, at approximately 7:30 pm, 3 young men, ages 18, 19, and 20, were apprehended after burglarizing 2 vehicles at a residence in rural south Taylor County, and threatening the elderly couple that lived there at gunpoint.

The group is believed to have brought one firearm with them, and to have taken one from the victim’s vehicle. When the couple confronted them and told them that they had called the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, two of the men allegedly pointed the weapons at the couple, and threatened to kill them if they did not call the Sheriff’s Office back and cancel their response.

The woman who was threatened had actually called off-duty Detective John Graham, who lived nearby. Detective Graham arrived very quickly and took the three men into custody.
