The Coamnches would hold a 14 point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Then the Bulldogs would explode for 27 unanswered points.
Quarterback Bo Wimberly would get the scoring started with a long touchdown run. Then a 60-yard touchdown pass from Wimberly to James Washington would tie the game.
It would be another Wimberly touchdown run that would give the Bulldogs the lead for good, and they would hold on from there to win their second straight state title.
"That's our team. That's what our team has been like all year long. We may get behind, but they have so much heart, they have so much desire. Their going to say 'I'm nog going to lose,' and once again they came through," said former head coach Wayne Hutchinson.
"We had a mindset, we were going to come out ready to play. Everything was clicking, momentum was on our side and when we're clicking it's hard to stop our offense . We can score fast and we knew that. We just had to go out and execute," said Bo Wimberly.
