Though a court date of February 24 has been set for the Comanche County man charged with his wife's murder, involved parties say they don't expect his trial to start until months later.
Micheal Lowery was arrested last year after his wife, Amber Lowery of Rising Star, went missing in July.
Human remains were found days later on Lowery's property, and in January of 2014, the remains were confirmed to be Amber's.
The court coordinator with the 220th District Court says Lowery's trial date is on the docket for February 24.
However, the district attorney's office and the district clerk have both told BCHP they do not expect the trial to begin that day.
Amber Lowery's family members have told BCHP they expect the trial to be pushed back to summer.
