UPDATE: Motorcycle president out on bail after arrest for stabbings

46-year-old Curtis Jack Lewis of Abilene was booked into the Taylor County Jail in connection with Saturday's stabbings outside of Logan's Roadhouse.
Sunday Morning Update:

46-year-old Curtis Jack Lewis of Abilene was booked into the Taylor County Jail in connection with Saturday's stabbings outside of Logan's Roadhouse. He is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 2nd Degree Felony. Lewis' bond was set at $125,000, and jail records indicate he bonded out Saturday evening.

Abilene Police say Lewis is the President of the Abilene chapter of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, and was involved in the stabbings of two members of the Cossacks Motorcycle Club, based in Callahan County. The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the altercation outside the busy South Abilene restaurant.

At the time of his arrest, Lewis was wearing a shirt bearing the Bandidos name; a small sign on his motorcycle proclaimed "Bandidos MC Property."

Saturday Evening Update:

Abilene police have arrested Jack Lewis, president of the Abilene chapter of the Bandidos motorcycle club, for aggravated assault in connection with the Logan's Roadhouse stabbings that took place early Saturday afternoon.

He was detained on the corner of Winters Freeway and Landfill Rd after the incident where he was taken to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning.

The two men who sustained non-life threatening stab wounds outside the restaurant are still in the hospital.

Lewis' bond will be set Sunday morning.


ORIGINAL REPORT:

Police are still investigating an incident that happened outside a south Abilene restaurant early Saturday afternoon.

Gun shots were initially reported at Logan's Roadhouse around 1:45 p.m., but upon further investigation, two male subjects suffered stab wounds and were sent to the hospital.

Both were non-life threatening injuries. Police believe the incident involves two separate motorcycle gangs.

The investigation is ongoing.
