Update: Victims Identified in I-20 Wrong-Way Crash

Major Car Collision Occurred on Interstate 20 West After A Vehicle Was Traveling East Bound In A West Bound Lane.
10:30 p.m. Update: The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the names of the victims of Friday afternoon's tragic collision on Interstate 20 in Taylor County, between Tye and Merkel.

86-year-old James Lendon Walling of Munday died at Hendrick Medical Center after being airlifted from the scene. Troopers say Walling was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Impala eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-20.

71-year-old Shelia Ann Donowho of Roswell, NM was pronounced dead at the scene. Donowho was a passenger in a westbound Chevrolet pickup that was struck head-on by Walling's car.

72-year-old Billy L. Donowho, also of Roswell, NM, was driving the pickup truck, and was flown to Hendrick with critical injuries.

Troopers say a third vehicle, driven by Donna Boatwright of Sweetwater, swerved to miss Walling's car just before the deadly collision. Boatwright was not injured.

Officers have confirmed that two people have died and others injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 20, Friday afternoon.

The driver of a white Impala was traveling east bound in a west bound lane on I-20 when he collided head on with a white truck. The driver of the white truck was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the impala was airlifted to Hendrick Medical Center. He was later confirmed dead at the hospital.
