Wildcat Freshmen Making Noise

The ACU Wildcats are nearing the end of their first season at Division I, and one bright spot for the Wildcats has been the play of their freshmen.

With nine freshmen making up the bulk of the the squad, a lot of the work has been put on their  plate, and they've more then held their own.

They rank second in the nation for points scored, and head coach Julie Goodenough says they've been a big part of the teams success.

Julie Goodenough said "You know our freshmen class has been  phenomenal. We are number two in the country for points scored by a freshmen class, and also total percentage points for our team we're second in the country among all freshmen classes, which speaks volumes for this group of young ladies we have. They've been put in a pretty unique situation where they have had to play. Many times year we've had four freshmen on the floor with either a sophomore or one senior. So, they've, I think, far exceeded expectations of anyone for what they're able to come in and accomplish."

The Wildcats wrap up their season Saturday at one when they take on Incarnate Word at Moody Coliseum.
