DPS Ups Patrol to Bring Down Number of Drunk Drivers

Law enforcement is out in full force this weekend to stop drivers who hit the road after having too much to drink. July 4th weekend is the deadliest week on Texas roads due to the high number of people drinking and driving. So DPS has more troopers patrolling the area to keep those drunk drivers off the roads. <br>
Law enforcement is out in full force this weekend to stop drivers who hit the road after having too much to drink. July 4th weekend is the deadliest week on Texas roads due to the high number of people drinking and driving. So DPS has more troopers patrolling the area to keep those drunk drivers off the roads.

During the holiday weekend, DPS says they will have as many troopers as they have out on the roads. Many of which in high risk areas that typically see more drivers driving under the influence.

The increased patrol will continue through the July 4th weekend.
