A two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon left a woman in the hospital.

It happened around 4 p.m. on Buffalo Gap Rd. & South Clack St. The driver of a white Jeep was on Buffalo Gap Rd heading east towards Winters Freeway when she failed to stop at the red light. She ran through it and collided with a blue SUV containing two parents and two children.

The impact pushed the Jeep against a pole and trapped the driver. The fire department had to get her out and was sent to the hospital bleeding with a neck brace on. Two other passengers were inside the car and were able to walk away.

The passengers of the blue SUV were fine. One of the children, a little boy, had a cut on his head.

The accident caused major traffic on the intersection. Police blocked off one of the lanes on Buffalo Gap.
