Early voting for the constitutional amendments began October 21, but Brown County is having difficult getting people to come out and vote early.
Early voting for the constitutional amendments began October 21, but Brown County is having difficult getting people to come out and vote early. The first day the election office was open they only had a total of 13 people vote, and at the beginning of Friday only a total of one hundred and 54 people voted.

Even the people who did come out to vote early were disappointed as well. Early voting will continue until November 1, and election day is on November 5. The office is open from 8 am to 5 pm. On election day they will open at 7 am and close at 7 pm.

They hope the extended hours will give people a chance to vote before or after work. However, they still encourage people to take advantage of early voting so they don't have to stand in long lines on election days.

Brown County isn't the only one having a low turnout. Other counties are having the same problem. They also want to remind everyone to bring their photo ID with them when they do come and vote.
