One of the driving forces in that 76-64 win over the Zebras was the play of quarterback Josh Moylan. The senior racked up over 500 yards of total offense and accounted for ten of the Mavericks 11 touchdowns.
With that said, Moylan is the first to give the credit for the performance to his teammates.
"The offensive line, they blocked their tales off all night. Giving the backs room to run, the receivers when the backs were running the ball, and the recievers catching. It was a full team offensive effort," said quarterback Josh Moylan.
If you ask head coach Brian Hulett he would also credit the entire team for the victory.
"If you're throwing it, somebody has got to be catching it, and upfront obviously somebody has got to be blocking. So, I feel we're doing good overall as a team right now offensively, and just got in a good rhythm the other night," said head coach Brian Hulett.
"It is a big game, and just wanting to go out and continue one week at a time winning games. We found a few things we felt like we had an advantage on. We really didn't add anything or change anything, but it was what was working and we kept running it."
This week the Mavericks will make the trip to Goldthwaite to take on another tough opponent.
"We just have to do what we do, block up front. Just keep doing the things that have made us successful on offense," said Moylan.
