Abilenians are hitting the road to help victims who are still homeless after a massive tornado hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama last month.

While the clean up efforts continue, an Abilene youth group is springing into action.

A team of 25 adults and teens from Southern Hills Church of Christ is gearing up to leave in the first week of June.

The team was originally supposed to help the homeless in Colorado, but shortly after the tornado things changed and so did their itinerary.

The team says after Sunday's tornado in Joplin, Missouri, it's likely they may be asked to send the team there as well.
