Animal Services is offering their third flea and tick dip for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. The dip will be held Wednesday, August 7th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the ACCO Farm and Ranch Center located at 249 E. S. 11th St.

“We want people to come and have their pet dipped; it gives us a time to educate each one of them about long term solutions to a flea and tick problem” said Aaron Vannoy, Animal Services Manager for the City of Abilene.

The flea and tick dips are designed to kill any ticks and fleas on the pet at the time of the dip. However, owners will also need to treat the yard and any other areas the pet may come in contact with. A pesticide dip and a non-pesticide dip will be offered.
