Fundraiser Help Parents Keep The Memory Of Their Baby Boy Alive

For the fourth year in a row, supporters have gathered to raise awareness for a disease called cardiomyopathy.

For the fourth year in a row, supporters have gathered to raise awareness for a disease called cardiomyopathy.

In 2010, Heather and Casey Riley, parents of 6-month old Casen Riley lost their son to the disease. In his memory, they crafted Casen's Crew, a movement to educate people on the pediatric condition.

Each year, on what would have been Casen's birthday, they host an event to raise money for the Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation. The parents planned a 5K run/walk as well as a golf tournament early Saturday morning.

The event was held at the Maxwell Golf Course. They plan to do more community events in the future.
