Going Green: A New Unique Way To Buy Seeds

If you're wanting to grow rows of vegetables, you don't have to stick with the single packets anymore. Buying seed in bulk became popular over the past year and is available in Abilene.
Buying seeds in bulk has been around for quite some time but over the last year or so it has become a little bit more popular.  BJ owns Mankin and Sons Gardens in Abilene.  Where he works they have about twenty different vegetable seeds to choose from.  Buying in bulk can save you money in the long run.  They charge you per scoop instead of per packet, essentially giving you twice the amount for a similar price.  If you're new to gardening and only want to plant a couple things, the packets are still a good choice.  However, if you plan on growing rows of vegetables buying in bulk will save your wallet.
