In west Texas a green yard can be hard to come by, but for one lady in Anson, her backyard is defying the odds. Sylvia has lived in the same house for the past 17 years, the last of those years she’s spent a good amount of time outside, fixing her pond and waterfall. The waterfall needs to be changed once a week, while oftentimes the water gets recycled. Her waterfall includes several sculptures, fish, and even an alligator, which lights up at night. While her backyard always looks nice, she says she doesn’t have a green thumb. Sylvia is just thankful for a place to relax and enjoy the afternoon.
