Grandfather Fights for Custody after Losing Toddler to Drowning

An Abilene grandfather is desperately trying to get his grandchildren back months after his granddaughter drowns during his supervision.
A grandfather is working to get custody of his three grandchildren months after 14-month-old Kimberlyn Torres died after drowning in a bathtub while he was watching the kids.

The death has been ruled an accident and no charges have been filed.

The children were taken from the home by Child Protective Services immediately after the death.

According to Texas Family and Child Protective Services, 58 children have died from drowning in Texas this year alone.
