As of Friday, twenty-three participants joined the competition in hopes to win the house they have their hands firmly placed upon. Each hour, more and more dropped out. To make it even more difficult, judges added challenges for participants to complete.
As of Sunday morning, twenty-three narrowed down to two finalists where they had to hold trays of cans. Cecilio Chavarria and Mike Helms are both neighbors.
At the end, Helms took the top spot. Helms competed in last year's competition but came in second place. Chavarria wanted to sell the house to help pay for his wife's citizenship papers.
Daniela, Cecilio's wife, said she was truly touched that her husband did that for her. She even had two stranger come up to her and give her money to help pay.
