Running back Tevin Mitchell was named the Offensive Player of the Week by the American Southwest Conference after his 243 yard, two touchdown performance against the Yellow Jackets on Saturday. Mitchell's 243 yards are the most by any ASC running back so far this season, and was the second time he's gone over 200 yards in a game this year.
Stamford native Jesse Ramos was named the Special Teams Player of the Week after compiling 182 yards, and a touchdown returning kick-offs on Saturday afternoon. It was also Ramos' fourth kick-off return for a touchdown of his career, and tied a school record. Ramos also had four catches for 54 yards, and a touchdown as a receiver against Howard Payne.
Ramos currently leads the nation in all-purpose yards (243.25) and added another 240 yards Saturday in the win against HPU.
