ABILENE, Texas -- Hardin-Simmons'
football has announced its 2012 schedule and it will feature a revamped
conference schedule and three non-conference games.
Cowboys will open the season at home on Sept. 1 against Willamette
(Ore.) and then hit the road for two straight non-conference games. HSU
plays at Linfield (Ore.)
on Sept. 8 and then goes to Tyler to play Texas College on Sept. 15.

Burleson. "Willamette was a very good team that we beat early in the
season up there this year
and that game went down to the wire. We have had some good battles with
Linfield over the years and Texas College gives us a non-conference game
in state. The non-conference portion will be a challenge that we hope
prepares us for league play."

at home against Howard Payne on Sept. 29. Five of the seven conference
games will be at the
same location they were in the 2011 season.

Texas Lutheran will be at HSU for homecoming on Oct. 20 and HSU travels to Louisiana College on Oct. 27.
The Cowboys play Mississippi College at home on Nov. 3 and close the regular season at Sul Ross State in Alpine.
