It was the fourth annual Harvest festival in Brownwood. The Brownwood Area Community Garden hosted the event allowing people to sell off any summer vegetables they have before winter starts.
It was the fourth annual Harvest festival in Brownwood. The Brownwood Area Community Garden hosted the event. This allows people to sell off any summer vegetables they have before winter starts. But the Brownwood Area Community Garden is so much more than just pretty flowers. They grow organic vegetables that they pick fresh and donate to the Salvation Army. The garden is a non profit that opened in the spring for 2010. They also lease out garden beds to local so they can plant their own flowers or grow their own fresh vegetables. Since it's still a fairly new organizations the garden coordinator is always looking for help. The garden coordinator also makes sure that the garden is green friendly. They make their own composts that they use for soil. To make sure no chemicals or harmful chemicals get in the food.
