Last November, the Haskell Indians were coming off a tough 1 and 9 season, and they were looking at an unknown future.

So far, that future is looking pretty bright. Just 3 games into the Grady Benton era up in Haskell County, and the Indians are 2 and 1. That means they have already won more games this year than they did last year. It's a good start, but don't expect Haskell to rest of the early success.

Coach Benton said, "The thing we're trying to stress right now is you dont win on Friday night. Our kids aren't scared to play on Friday night. It's learning how to prepare to win. That's what we've tried to stress the past couple of weeks. The one loss we had..we didn't have a good week of preperation. The two wins we had..we had good preperation. So its the will to prepare that we're trying to figure out around here."

The Indians are back on the road this week. They travel to Electra in search of win number 3 on the season.
