LAS VEGAS -- Hardin-Simmons'
men's basketball team dropped its first game of the season, falling
71-69 to Gustavus Adolphus in the D3hoops.com Classic at the
South Point Resort in Las Vegas.
game featured two of the top three scorers in Division III basketball
and both players lived up to their billing, Matt Addison had 32 points
and GAC's Seth Anderson, who sat almost six minutes with four fouls, hit
three straight jumpers in the final three minutes and finished with 22
points to propel GAC to the come-from-behind win.

HSU led by 31-22 in the first half, but the Gusties used a 15-4 run to take a 37-35 halftime lead.
was solid at the line hitting 26-of-34 shots, including 17-of-20 in the
second half and HSU was just 9-for-17 at the free throw stripe.
HSU is now 8-1 on the year and GAC improved to 5-3. HSU will play Hanover at 3 p.m. on Friday.
