BELTON, Texas - The Mississippi College men's tennis
team swept through doubles and then kept it up in singles as the Choctaws rolled
to a 5-0 victory over Hardin-Simmons in the opening round of the American
Southwest Conference Men's Tennis Championship Tournament. The two teams started
nearly five hours after the originally scheduled start time of 2:00 because of
persistent rain in Central Texas.

and took #3 doubles by an 8-4 count. Dudley Lampton then rolled to a 6-0, 6-1
win at #5 singles and Jacob Womack closed it out for MC with a 6-4, 6-2 win at
#3 singles. The Choctaws were also leading in three of the other four matches
when the victory was clinched.
