Hubbard Creek Reservoir is only 24% full, which is causing concern for Abilene water officials.
Lake Fort Phantom Hill is 44% full while Hubbard Creek Reservoir is only 24% full. Since the City of Abilene does pull water from Hubbard Creek Reservoir, water officials are concerned and say they are working to develop a strategy to solve the problem.
The advanced waste water treatment facility that the city has been working on should be completed by December of 2014.
71 year Abilene citizen and Fisherman's Retreat Bait Shop Owner, Eddie Wise, explains that he has never seen the lake levels this low.
He also believes that the Cedar Ridge Reservoir that the city has been working on is a great idea, he just hopes that it comes soon enough.
