Hundreds of College Students Walk Across the Stage and Crossed the 'Finish Line'

College students across the Big Country fulfilled a milestone by walking the stage at their graduation ceremony.
College students across the Big Country fulfilled a milestone by walking the stage at their graduation ceremony.

On Saturday morning, students of McMurry University said goodbye to finals and accepted their college diploma. At 10 a.m., families and graduates packed out the Radford Memorial Stadium. Students from the School of Arts, Business, Education, Science and Religion were all there for the ceremony.

At Hardin-Simmons University, 148 students earned their bachelor's degree. There were two graduation ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Seventy-six students picked up their master's degree and 29 physical therapy students earned their doctorates.

Howard Payne University had their graduation ceremony at the Brownwood Coliseum. The ceremony went from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sixty-three students received their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

On Friday night, Abilene Christian University had 181 undergraduates and 62 graduates from all across the world receive their degree. Graduates listened throughout the program as professors and alumni gave words of advice of life to come after college.
